Radon Testing

Radon is a naturally occurring invisible, odorless gas which leaches from the ground, rocks, and even water.  It can be found in basements and crawl spaces of homes, it can even migrate to upper levels of homes.  Radon gas is heavier than air and it's created by the breakdown of uranium. Higher concentrations of uranium deposits lead to higher radon levels. The image above shows a very high reading taken in Wyoming. The federal government sees a radon level of 4.0 as needing to be addressed by mitigation. Radon is second to cigarette smoke in causing lung cancer.

Structural Assessment

All homes are required to be built to code.  Structural safety is just one area out of many that will be assessed.  Make sure your home is structural sound to protect you and your family.

Electrical & Plumbing

Updating the electrical system can be costly.  Inspectors will assess whether the current system is up to date and functioning properly. Also looking for GFCI's and proper grounding.

Plumbing issues can be devastating.  Inspectors will assess the plumbing (visually) and provide feedback on drainage, waste, and vents. Adhering to local and or State codes. We also use a sewer camera for a more in-depth look.

Concrete & Foundations

All homes need a strong foundation.  Inspectors will assess the current state of the foundation and all the adjoined concrete slabs including driveways.

Mold Testing

Mold can grow anywhere.  It can lead to dry rot in walls and structural supports. And cause breathing issues and allergies in the home. Inspectors will check for visible signs of mold growing. We can also check for dampness in those questionable spots. We'll take photos so it's documented.
(Mold testing results can take up to 4 days or longer depending on weather and availability of lab workload)

Heating & Cooling

Wyoming is a cold state.  It is essential to have a proper operating heating system.  Inspectors will inspect to see how well the heating system is functioning, as well as the flow of heat through the ducts.  This applies to the cooling system, if applicable.
